  • The First Trimester Fetal Anomaly Assessment

  • Third Trimester Growth Analysis including Umbilical artery Doppler assessment
  • Late Gestation US assessment (placental localisation, liquor assessment, fetal position)
  • Hands-on

Day 2

  • System based approach: Head/Brain, Thorax/Heart, Abdomen/GIT, Renal, Skeleton
  • Second Trimester Fetal Anomaly Scanning

Module 2: Screening for fetal Disease

21 November 2015

  • This will involve attending all aspects of module 1 and will be the 3rd day of the January Programme. IBC Certificates will be given to those who have attended both Module 1 and Module 2.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS:

Day 3

Screening for Fetal Disease:

  • First Trimester screening for chromosomal disease
  • Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing
  • Screening for preterm labour
  • Multiple pregnancy assessment
  • Screening for Pre-eclampsia
  • Hands-on (e.g. nuchal scanning, multiple pregnancy)

Module 3: Clinical Observership

  • Open Dates in the UK / Minimum 1 Week

Module 4: Fetal Therapy & Invasive Procedures Including Assessment, Test & Certification

Date: September 2016

Day 1

Treatment of Fetal disease:

  • Complications and treatment of multiple pregnancy
  • Treatment of Fetal alloimmune disease
  • Management of Fetal Infection
  • Advanced Doppler assessment and management of growth restriction
  • Hands on with particular attention to multiple pregnancy assessment, Examination: Case based short answers.

Day 2

Invasive procedures in Fetal Medicine:

  • Amnio
  • CVS
  • IUT
  • Shunt
  • Feticide
  • laser
  • Fetal Surgery and the future of fetal medicine, Hands-on (trainers for invasive procedures)
